During HOT97's annual "Summer Jam" concert, 50 Cent was banned in 2004 for starting riots in the crowd and throwing chairs at fans in the crowd. The following year he was also banned from the HOT97 Radio Station for a confrontation that erupted with rapper The Game, resulting in a shootout between G-Unit and Black Wall Street entourages. While no one was killed, The Game's close friend was shot multiple times but survived.
Returning to the stage after 6 years many are asking if history will repeat itself. Rick Ross and 50 Cent were involved in a bitter fued which has since died down but will cross paths at this year's 2011 Summer Jam Event. Will time heal these wounds or is this a recipe for disaster? Stay tuned for updates and live coverage as the date approaches.

After a successful run with Nas to promote their Distant Relatives project, Damian Marley is joining another supergroup. The Jamiaca native will serve as one-fifth of the all-star quintet Super Heavy with The Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart and Indian film composer A.R. Rahman.
According to RollingStone.com, the fivesome has been secretly recording its debut over the past 18 months, with plans to unleash its first album in September 2011. "It's different from anything else I've ever been involved in," said Jagger. "The music is very wide-ranging – from reggae to ballads to Indian songs in Urdu."
The group formed after Stewart, who resides in Jamaica, called Jagger in hopes of starting an experimental fusion group. Jagger asked Marley, Stone and A.R. Rahman to join the group, banding together in Los Angeles, California to begin writing songs. "We didn't know what the hell we were doing," said Stewart. "We were just jamming and making a noise. It was like when a band first starts up in your garage. Sometimes Damian would kick it off and then Joss would sing something on top of it. We might have a 22 minute jam, and it would become a six minute song."
There are currently no tour dates scheduled for Super Heavy, but they haven't ruled it out. "We're experimenting at the moment and just taking it day by day," added Stewart. "I think if we're rehearsing and it sounds great and people love the idea then nobody would rule out the possibility of it."
Although fans may be bummed that Nas's Lost Tapes 2 won't be seeing the light of day anytime soon, the QB emcee is making it up to his fans with his impending tenth solo LP. Now, The Boombox has caught up with Nas to discuss his upcoming project. Although he had few details to give about the release, he did reveal that he is looking to reunite with frequent collaborator Salaam Remi on the album.
"I'm working on a solo album," he said. "I'm very excited about that. [I don't have a title] to share with the people yet. The producer list on the record is probably gonna be people I worked with in the past like Salaam Remi and some new producers as well...There's nothing that gives me the charge that I get making music. I do a lot of other things on the low, but I'm mostly proud of the music. "
Nas also discussed the joys of parenthood. He said that he loves being able to discuss Hip Hop with his older daughter, and that he's excited to see his youngest son beginning to walk and talk now.
"My kids are my everything," he said. "I got the best kids in the whole world. My daughter is at the age where she can call me up and tell me what she thinks about Beyonce's new video and what she thinks about Wiz Khalifa and we can talk about it all. My son is walking and talking and he's no joke. I got the best kids in the world. I walk around everyday very blessed."
